Technological knowledge and internationalization: evidence from India

Purpose The authors combine institutional theory with resource-based to explain how emerging market firms (EMFs) manage their technological knowledge capital by venturing into international markets. further explore the contingency effect of marketing and competitive intensity in home country influencing internationalization relationship. Design/methodology/approach study employs multiple linear regression analysis using a dataset consisting 326 Bombay Stock Exchange-listed A B category stocks for six-year period (2010–2016). Findings finds that an increase capital, Indian increases. Furthermore, positively moderate this Research limitations/implications Practical implications authors’ findings managers' awareness acts as management tool EMFs under intensity. Originality/value provides novel insights strategy through role increasing firms' ability even better capital.
